Trail starts 800' southeast of the intersection of South County Road and Route 2.

This smaller cellar hole north of the trail with three walls was probably for a barn

Trail Intersection 1

Old version of the Mahican-Mohawk Trail intersects the new version here, and winds around north end of Clark Mountain and ends BEFORE the east end of South County Road

Trail Intersection 2

Intersection with trail sount to Mohawk Trail State Forest Campground, and trail east along ridge crest to Indian Lookout. Mahican-Mohawk Trail continues northeast downslope to Deerfield River Valley.
